JOB DESCRIPTION

The New Auto Sales Department Manager is responsible to consistently and profitably meet new vehicle sales quotas through expert management and leadership of the sales team. In order to do so, he/she must forecast sales, maintain proper inventory levels in terms of amount and vehicle types, and motivate the sales team. The Sales Manager is also responsible for hiring, training, and monitoring team member performance. He/she is responsible for the resolution of customer complaints and to assist in closings when necessary . The ideal New Auto Sales Manager candidate has two or more years in a large-volume dealership, a strong business acumen, self-directed by nature, exceptional interpersonal skills, fast with math, strong sales aptitude, supervisory/coach/management experience, and a willingness to accept full accountability for sales targets.

The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
-- Develop viable sales forecasts and associated sales strategies
-- Recruit highly professional sales representatives who share our company's standards of excellence and ethics
-- Train the sales team on sales methodologies that support established sales targets
-- Train sales team to become subject matter experts on all vehicles and vehicle specifications/features in the inventory
-- Establish sales quotas for each sales representative and provide continuous feedback in order to manage to overall sales goals
-- Continuously monitor and adjust inventory to optimize customer choice
-- Measure and report sales metrics; monitor actuals to plan
-- Continuously and consistently promote the dealership, its values, and its products/services
 
 
REQUIREMENTS
  Dealership Management Systems experience desired
  Three or more years of successful F&I management experience required.
  Post high school education highly desirable
  Supervisory/managerial experience REQUIRED
  Strong communication, presentation and writing skills
  Verifiable sales performance in Automotive Sales REQUIRED
  Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
  Ability to hold yourself accountable and achieve goals with limited direct supervision
  An impressive work-ethic
  Neat, clean, and professional appearance
  Exceptional Internet skills
