The Pre-owned Auto Sales Department Manager is responsible to consistently and profitably meet new vehicle sales quotas through expert management and leadership of the sales team. In order to do so, he/she must forecast sales, maintain proper inventory levels in terms of amount and vehicle types, and motivate the sales team. The Sales Manager is also responsible for hiring, training, and monitoring team member performance. He/she is responsible for the resolution of customer complaints and to assist in closings when necessary . The ideal Pre-owned Car Sales Manager candidate has two or more years in a large-volume dealership, a strong business acumen, self-directed by nature, exceptional interpersonal skills, fast with math, strong sales aptitude, supervisory/coach/management experience, and a willingness to accept full accountability for sales targets.
